wish i got a picture of the sky today…
one thing i love and definately miss about southern california, are the timeless sunsets. the intese lighting is almost like that of a stage- coordinated and planned to hit the carefully molded clouds in just the right way. nature, in itself, is art. nature is beauty. nature is simple, and yet so complex at the same time, it is often larger than ourselves, and beyond our reach. nature humbles you.
such qualities seem to be beyond human, and that this world is not our own, but that of some higher power, the divine. and yet, at the same time, such a massive amount of beauty reminds us that we are human, and that this is our beautiful world- wether it was created for us, given to us, or even born out of nothingness. all i know is, that when i see the setting sun blaze a fiery red whole in the sky, or the stars pierce the black blanket of night, i feel that all of my problems and worries are so incredibly insignificant, as the infinate power of nature is the permanant, and i am only the temporary.
everything- our existence, our reality…in its own time, will pass.
